Hotels in New Jersey Where You Can See Alien Drones

Since I wanted to have my best chance of seeing them, I decided to start with the Morris County New Jersey drones and go from there. The three counties where I chose hotels in New Jersey were:

  • Morris County
  • Sussex County
  • Hunterdon County? Check out hotels in New Jersey near where drone sightings have been!

  • I’ve got no doubt that by now you’ve heard about the mysterious drones over New Jersey. Are we finally having some contact with aliens from space? You know I had to find out! I’m always packed and ready to go on my next adventure so I decided to check out which hotels in New Jersey would be best for seeing these alien drones.
  • My trip took me to New Jersey hotels ranging from a casual Hilton Garden Inn to a super quaint bed and breakfast. There’s honestly so many places where you can stay, so I decided to give just a handful a try. Take a look at these hotels where you can see alien drones over New Jersey and plan out your journey to meet ET.

  • Okay before you jump in the car and take off to the Garden State, you need to know where you’re heading. So far, there’s been reported sightings of drones over New Jersey in 10+ counties.
  • The first reported sightings took place on November 18, 2024 with drones flying over Morris County NJ. By November 25, there were temporary flight restrictions delivered by the FAA over

I could’ve gone to other places, too, but these felt like the most active for seeing alien drones over New Jersey. You can let me know if you’ve found some other great hotspots I should check out, too!

Hotels Near First New Jersey Drone Sightings

Since the Morris Country New Jersey drones were the first on the reports, that’s where I decided to start. I started near the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base then worked my way out a little further.

Hilton Garden Inn Rockaway

The first spot I stayed in was the Hilton Garden Inn Rockaway near the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base. I figured if they were shutting down the airspace there for a bit, then that was the place to see some of the action! As far as New Jersey hotels go, maybe this isn’t the most unique on my list, but it was totally reasonable and one of the relatively few hotels in the immediate area for seeing drones flying over Morris County NJ.

I stayed in one of their 300sqft. Deluxe King rooms and it had everything I needed. As you’d imagine, it had all the usual amenities like a hair dryer, TV, and small refrigerator. The sitting area was cute and comfortable, but what I appreciated most was the Keurig coffee maker so I wasn’t dragging while looking for drones over New Jersey hotels and airfields!

Whistling Swan Inn (Sussex County)

I decided my next stop would be a little further west into Sussex County. The Whistling Swan Inn in Stanhope was a super cute spot in a more secluded area where I was hoping I’d be able to see some of the drones over New Jersey. It’s a vintage family home complete with Victorian garden and amazon wrap around porch!

It was winter so I wasn’t taking full advantage of the garden, but my room was everything I hoped for and more. I went with the High Point Suite, which they say is one of the most popular suites on the property. The decor was super quaint and what I expected from a little bed and breakfast, but the bathroom blew me away. There was a big jacuzzi tub that easily fits two, plus a steam shower to help me relax after chasing down NJ drone sightings!

Other Hotels Near Drones Flying Over Morris County, NJ

Since the drones flying over Morris County NJ seemed to be making the most headlines, I figured I’d check out a couple spots over there during my trip, too.

The Westin Governor Morris, Morristown

When I’m staying at chain hotels, I love it when they’ve kept some of the local charm and character. The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown was a great spot for anyone looking for drones flying over NJ.

I stayed in the 400sqft Deluxe Guest Room that had a king bed and was set up in a unique way for a hotel room. Instead of being one small room, this larger guest room was arranged with defined spaces for a sitting area, a dining spot, and the sleeping area. I felt like it just made the room feel more like a home away from home instead of just another generic hotel room. Some of the Deluxe Guest Room options have tubs, but mine just had a walk-in shower. That was fine with me, though, because it was everything I needed.

When you’re not looking to the sky for drones flying over Morris County NJ, you can spend your time visiting historical sites, boutiques, and local theaters. I was spending most of my time looking for more of those Morris County New Jersey drones, so being centrally located was perfect for me! There’s plenty to do right around the hotel so you’ll never be bored.

Neighbor House Bed & Breakfast

After a couple nights, I decided to check out another bed and breakfast hotel. I love little places like this and since they’re usually in quieter areas, I figured there’d be less light pollution so I could see drones flying over Morris County NJ during my stay. It’s a colonial farmhouse set next to 800 acres of dedicated farmland, so I was totally right!

There are only four rooms here, so I picked the Blue Room. It’s got a private bath (worth noting that only two of the four have private baths here) and a king size bed. Plus the view was to die for! The Blue Room has a view over the 800 acres of dedicated farmland. It meant I didn’t have to stand outside in the cold too long and I could just turn out the lights and look for drones over New Jersey right from my window.

Hotel By Hunterdon County, NJ Drone Sightings

Once I’d checked out enough New Jersey hotels for drones flying over Morris County NJ, I decided to head over to Hunterdon County since they were making headlines, too. I stayed at two spots here and would totally recommend them both if you’re wanting comfy stays while you chase down NJ drone sightings.

Woolverton Inn

What better spot to see drones flying over New Jersey than from another adorable inn? I’m convinced the Woolverton Inn is one of the cutest hotels in New Jersey. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway and they hold lots of events here like weddings or corporate retreats.

I decided not to stay in the main house and rented one of the cottages, instead. When in Hunterdon County, rent the appropriately-named Hunterdon Cottage, right? This 493sqft room had a king bed, beautiful bathroom, and a gas fireplace to keep me warm at night. You can bet I was taking advantage of that special feature after spending time outdoors on the hunt for NJ drone sightings! The private screened-in porch was another special touch that made this different from staying at any regular New Jersey hotel. I can confidently say I’ll be back again.

Other Spots for Seeing Drones Over New Jersey

While I didn’t make it there on this trip, there were reports of drones over New Jersey in the Princeton, NJ area the first week of December 2024. I’ve stayed in the area before and found the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal to be the spot to stay.

When you think of a typical hotel chain, I’m always expecting them to look pretty much the same. Not this one! The Princeton Marriott at Forrestal may be relatively typical when you’re in your room, but the hotel grounds and the rest of the amenities are so beautiful and unique. From your King Room, you can have a spectacular view of beautiful trees. The property is set into the woods so you feel like you’re having a remote getaway without losing out on amenities like a great spa, a pool, and a very tasty restaurant. I was a bit too busy looking out the windows to get a decent inside video, but PilotReviews did a Princeton Marriott walkthrough for you to see.
